Open House Event at Todd & Kim's Log Home

kim-and-todd-log-home.jpg Have I mentioned yet how much I enjoy participating the many events for prospective log home owners that log home builders have throughout the year?

Yesterday, we attended another one. It was an Honest Abe Open House at the home of Todd and Kim.

They built this home themselves and acted as their own G.C.

(Brave souls. We've considered it, but talked ourselves out of it after hearing some of the "horror stories" from others who've been there, done that.)

Overall, it took them about a year from start to finish. And this event marked one full year that they have lived in this home with their three children.

From the Honest Abe Open House brochure:

This beautiful D-log style home resembles the "Castlewood" floorplan.
