Tennessee Lake Property For Sale

| Comments (0)

i-cant-believe-we-are-selling-this-property.jpgWe've decided to put our property on Dale Hollow Lake up for sale.

Why? Because we'd like to buy an RV.

And since things are moving along so nicely toward building our log home here in Williamson County Tennessee, holding onto the Dale Hollow Lake property would purely be a luxury at this point.

We view this lake property as a place that we would eventually (a long time from now) like to build a "vacation home" -- our log cabin on the lake -- but we'd rather do some serious RVing before then. So it seems most practical to sell the lake property and just go from there.

So, if you're looking for land in Tennessee -- particularly a lake lot -- it doesn't get much better than Dale Hollow Lake.

Here are the details...

How Do You Measure Square Footage?

So, how many square feet are there in your home? If you say around 2,400 then you'd be in "the norm".

Ours (which is still being finalized, since we recently switched from a lake lot to a wooded lot) is projected to be between 2,500 and 3,500 square feet -- depending on (among other things) whether we go with a partial basement or not.

Got Creeks? What Is A Blue Line Stream, Anyway?

Yesterday, Randy asked a great question about the likelihood of us subbing a creek for a pond on the property. (See my reply here.)

Our conversation reminded me of the fact that one of the 3 creeks on our property is what is known as a "blue line stream".

Here's what that means...

Can't You See It???

| Comments (7)

What do you mean you can't see anything there?... [I say with raised eyebrows]

lynnette-pointing-to-our-property.jpgRight there... [pointing] that's where the house is going to go. Over here... [pointing to the other side] this is where we're going to put the well. And the septic... it's right over there. The driveway will go up through here and around that side.

Oh, and here... [pointing, while looking completely enamored with all of Nature's beauty] right here is the only spot where you can actually see 2 of the 3 creeks at the same time!

Trust me, once you get inside the tree line, it makes more sense. It's a little bit cleared out in the middle there.
