I am looking for a pedestal sink for my log home that is made from a log . I saw this in a magazine a long time ago and am now unable to source such a thing. Help!!"

Well Sharon, that sounds like a really fun sink for a log home!

Unfortunately, I couldn't find one either.

I did an online search and found a few bathroom sinks that would look great inside a log home... but none was the log-shaped pedestal sink you referred to.

Perhaps others have seen it. If so, please share in the Comments below!

UPDATE 4/24/08:

Here's a cool pedestal sink for the bathroom that is basically a round bowl perched atop a tall tree stump. I really like the look! This one was featured in the May 2008 issue of Log Home Living magazine.

I was skeptical when i read the title, but I'm blown away! Those are some the most unique and stylish sinks I've seen to date. You should check out copper sinks. They are very elegant and on top of it, copper itself is an antimicrobial surface that is naturally self-renewing. Few metals have these properties of being both germ free and able to naturally repair themselves. Pretty and practical!

I saw one in Town and Country Traveler Magazine. I think it was the Fall 2007 issue. It was really neat.

Hi Tonya,
Are you referring to the "rustic bathroom vanity sink" one?

If so, and you're not using it... then I'd say go for it. :o)

If nothing else, it would be a FUN do-it-yourself project that would be really cool when you're finished!

Funny, I have a rustic cabinet at home that looks like this one, minus the drawers. Guess I need to put a sink in it and make some money!
