Enjoying The View At Our Dale Hollow Lake Property

lynnette-tenor-exploring-dale-hollow-lake.jpg In our neverending search for a place to call home, Jim and I drove out to our property on Dale Hollow Lake this weekend to reflect on our year-long journey toward building our dream home… a log home.

We took our dog, Tenor. And we just sat there for a few hours on our land, weighing all of our options (again) as far as the lake property goes, and wondering about our likelihood of finding someone (a general contractor) to build our log home for us.

It was the most enjoyable way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon…

…just gazing in amazement at the beautiful lake view

…while sitting in tall grass

…watching birds fly overhead

…listening to trees rustle in the wind all around us

…and checking out all the people passing by on their boats.

Then, on the way back home (from Dale Hollow Lake to Franklin, Tennessee) we decided to stop halfway between here & there: Center Hill Lake.

It had been a few years since we’d been to Center Hill Lake (a popular boating location and countryside filled with expensive lake homes), so we were eager to see if there’d been any new development out there. We were especially interested in seeing if there were any log homes on Center Hill Lake
